• I think that a failure of statistical thinking is the major intellectual shortcoming of our universities, journalism and intellectual culture.

  It’s a little bit crazy to me that you get a science degree from a top-flight university without ever having taken statistics. Cough, cough. 

  I am ashamed that I haven’t taken a proper statistic class.  Maybe that’s what I should do this summer.
